Money makes the world go round as they say and never was this statement more appropriate and evident than in the current climate of upheaval and turmoil raging through the world.

In Ireland, we have however suffered a double whammy of going from a high not experienced anywhere else in the world because of the property boom to a low that is without equal anywhere because of our lack of substantial industrial infrastructure.
Ireland is what is known as an open economy in that we depend on exports to sustain our GDP because of our small population.
