Investment

Mention investment to most people in Ireland and they will tell you they know nothing about it or that they don’t need to know anything about it.  “I don’t want to get involved in that” is a common mantra from the man or woman on the street. However, without knowing it, almost all people have investments. Your pension is an investment for example, as is a simple savings  account in the credit union. Anywhere you place a sum of money for the purpose of increasing the value of that money is an investment.
