Christmas is coming and we all love to give presents and get something new. No matter how you pay for it, do not use store credit cards for your purchases. They are the most expensive form of credit you can imagine. Even if they offer discounts on goods by using them, avoid them like the plague. Use your ordinary credit card or better still cash if you can and bargain with any store you like. Even better in the times that are in it, ask yourself do you really need to buy so and so a present.
Financial Ireland estimates that 35% of all gifts given in Ireland during the festive season are unwanted and end up in the dustbin or with a charity. Why not just give it to charity in the first place and tell all your friends that this Christmas there will be nothing in their socks for them but they can feel better because of it.
